For Sarah Mitchell, the answer is simple—you don’t. For two years, Sarah has shut herself off from most of the world around her. She needs to move on, but doesn’t know how to begin.

Unexpectedly, Sarah is presented with an opportunity that could change everything. Elijah Kingston, her firm’s largest client, wants her to lead a highly confidential assignment. When Sarah learns the shocking nature of Kingston’s project, she is torn between Elijah’s promise of healing and her fear of falling deeper into despair.

Kingston’s Project is a poignant story about the effects of grief and the loss of hope. Can Sarah find happiness again, or is the hold from her fear and guilt too strong to break free?

Title: Kingston's Promise

Release Date: 6th June 2014

BLURB from Goodreads
In Kingston's Project you discovered that Elijah Kingston was hiding something significant from his children. In Kingston's Promise you will see how his son, Marcus, struggles as he tries to build a future under the shadow of that secret.

"I promise."

Two words meant to inspire trust and hope. When kept, a promise can be powerful. When broken, it can shatter just about everything around it.

Marcus Kingston spent twenty years searching for the woman he was meant to be with forever. The day he found her, he made a promise. He would spend the rest of his life trying to ease her pain and give her happiness. Her past wouldn't make it easy, but he was determined.

He thought the difficult part was getting her to give him a chance. He told her she couldn't predict the future-that she needed to take a leap of faith. What he didn't anticipate was the one unavoidable obstacle to every promise-life. Now, he's the one who needs to take the leap.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Your first thought when you see my background might be, “What? You wrote a book?”

My initial thought when I started writing my first book? “Oh, crap. I’m writing a book.” I didn’t tell anyone (including my husband) that I was writing it for about four months. It just wasn’t expected.

And what have I discovered? I’m a writer. This is not the future that I thought was in store for me. It’s not the first time I’ve been blindsided by the direction of my life, and I’m certain it won’t be the last. Just as I’ve done before, I took a leap and accepted that this is what was meant to happen.

My hope is that someday soon the comments will be, “You used to be an engineer? No way.”

And I’m going to love saying, “Yes I was, and a part of me still is. As well as a marketer. And now a writer too.” I think there’s an assumption that these things have to fight against each other and can’t coexist happily within the same brain. Well, I’ve embraced them all and the end result is... a split personality? Some days it feels like it.

I love books, movies, music, cheesy Christmas movies, just about anything related to crafting, and puzzles. My family is awesome, including the cat. I have a love-hate relationship with Cadbury Creme Eggs.
