Red Riding Hood by Sarah Blakley-Cartwright
The Blacksmith would marry her,
The Woodcutter would run away with her,
The Werewolf would turn her into one of his own.
Valeries sister was kind and beautiful ..and now she's dead. Henry the blacksmith's son tries to console Valerie , however her heart beats faster only for the outcast woodcutter Peter. For generations the wolf has been kept at bay, given a monthly sacrifice. But now no one is safe. An expert wolf hunter arrives and explains that the creature lives among them. it could literally be anyone in the town!
Valerie is the only one to be able to hear the voice of the wolf. The Wolf demands that she surrender herself to him before the blood moon wanes ..or everyone whom she loves and holds dear will die.
I actually thought that the movie had been adapted from the book however this time it is the other way around and the book was written to accompany the film. I hope the film is as good as the book. I did enjoy reading this, and I didn't want to put it down. There are quite a few twists and turns as to who the Wolf may be, but I have to admit that I had guessed correctly at the identity of the Wolf about half way through the book, even though there are a few red herrings thrown in.
